Honestly, I wouldn’t use any charts. You can look to see what they recommend you be at your height but I chose what I feel would be comfortable for ME! I don’t want to be 5’2 110 lbs I’d feel like I need a burger or 6 lol (not to bash on anyone that love the way they look and feel that way). I am currently 5’2 183-187 and I would love to lose 30-40 more lbs but nothing more. I feel like if I can tone my curves I’d be happy the way I am (even weight wise). Just find a place where you love YOU!

@pyosis4 I'm right there with you. I feel perfect at 152 and I'm 5'2. Before all this covid stuff I was almost back to that weight. Now, I'm working towards it again. Good luck to you!

@boycott where do I find that chart on the app
by (31.1k points)
@nashner i dont see it on the app but its on the website. Very broad weight ranges. Im 5'6 and high end is 155. I was shockedit was that high
by (7.6k points)
@boycott thank you !
by (200 points)
@boycott why would you be shocked, 155 is healthy for 5’6. 124 would certainly be unhealthy. I’m that height and 142 was very thin for me.
by (31.1k points)
@jon7 155 lb seem quite heavy for 5'6. My goal is 130.
by (4.6k points)
Damn. I'm 5'9" and they say 130's ? At 150 I look too skinny. I cant imagine 135, I'd look sickly.

There is a guide from WW that gives you the healthy weight range for your height. You can choose between that range.

@brimmer29 where can I access the chart?
by (12.2k points)
@brimmer29 does it have to be within that range to hit lifetime? I think their range in unrealistic for me. I think a BMI of 30 (allowed as maximum in Air Force) might be a floor and work from there. I'm thinking a BMI of 25 is too low. )
by (870 points)
@macao My goal weight is 146 for 5 ft 4 in. If you feel the BMI of 30 is more realistic and healthy for you, I would speak with me doctor and see if he would write a note for that recommendation. You do want a goal that you can maintain. I have had my weight off 3 years. I play with 5 or 6 pounds over sometime but try to get it off before it gets out of hand. I have learned trigger foods that make me gain . I have to stay away from sweets, salty foods only occasionally and sweet tea! (I’m a southerner). Lol

Guess where you would like to be, where you feel confident comfortable at.

There are many charts just Google. Also, a Doctor’s note will allow a higher weight that WW

I'm sure WW has a BMI chart they go by, if they let us pick it may not be a correct number I know for a fact I won't ever be 135 /140 but at 5'5 probably where I should be I'll be happy with 190ish.

I am 73 years old and 5 ft 4in. I chose the highest end of the chart for my goal. Lost 38 lbs but didn’t want to lose more because I felt good at this weight for lifetime. As someone else stated, you can get a doctor to write a note saying they think you are at a healthy weight.

My dr gave me a note and I gave my leader. Easy!
by (31.1k points)
@vaios lucky my doctor wont give a note for anything over what ww recommends
by (4.7k points)
@boycott Odd. It’s very common. Have someone else write one for you. if you have another dr. I mine is 5 pounds above so I have room to fluctuate. Plus, you can quit paying sooner
by (3.6k points)
@boycott my pcp was the same. but when I had an appt with my cardiologist I asked him and he agreed
by (31.1k points)
@vaios i know i wanted a note so i could be at goal and not pay but my doctor wont write a note if it puts you in the overweight category

I use a BMI calculator. I want my BMI to be in the middle of the normal range. The normal range is between 18 and 25 so the middle is 21, 5. So for me i need to weigh 58 kg to have a BMI of 21, 5. This is my goal weight. But it’s really up to you.

On your app, go to settings -> weight settings -> goal weight. It tells you what your “healthy” weight range is.
