@belva go to resale shops!
by (1.3k points)
@endocarditis I did but it gets expensive! I just need to get the weight back off!
by (21.9k points)
@belva just get a couple basic things to see you through - way cheaper than new clothes!

Throw them away! Or better yet donate to The Salvation Army or another charity. It will help you with maintenance

Get rid of them! You will not be able to slip back into bad habits knowing you have big clothes to fall back on.

I got rid of all mine and then fell off the ww wagon and gained some weight so had to buy new clothes. So i keep some things now rather than get rid of all just in case

I felt like if I did not get rid of them I was allowing myself permission to gain the weight back. It was a mental thing. I had to commit to being a smaller size.

Get rid of the safety net. if you do re-gain, styles change and besides, it may make you fight that much harder to keep it off or put the brakes on much sooner than if you had that net available

I take thr smaller ones out of totes and put my bigger clothes in the totes and store them just in case I go backwards
by (730 points)
@babylonia40027 I agree. Just having to go back into the larger clothes is enough incentive for me to get back on track.
by (4k points)
@babylonia40027 please dont keep them and tell yourself that, could turn into a self fulfilling prophecy

When I taught WW we told our groups get RID of clothes that are too big! Too easy to tell yourself "if I gain weight, I'll have clothes to fit" could be a self fulfilling prophecy

Please donate to a shelter. They don't get a lot of donations in larger sizes and are needed. I volunteer at a local homeless shelter and they are thrilled when I bring in my clothes.

Keep one pair of pants so you can see how far you've come on your journey. Donate the rest.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way for some of us. I’ve been on some weight loss journey most of my adult life  In my opinion. I would keep a few things your comfortable in just in case you slide, donate the rest. If you still haven’t worn those comfy’s in a year, throw them out, you’ve got it going on!

I recommend donating them. When you get down to smaller sizes you will want to get new clothes. Plus if you hold on to them you might be thinking you will need them again 1 day. A lot of places come right to you house and pick them up.

I keep one size up, just in case. I’m still going down, so I’m giving away as I go.

Get rid of them! For years I hung on to mine. Making it too easy if I gained weight back. Also if you take in the seams to make them fit now? Cut the seam out. I had a closet full of clothes size 12-24. Now I am in a 10-12 and anything over a 12 is gone.

Give them away you will NEVER fit into them again. Positive thinking

As I shrunk I would donate to resale shops & then go in & buy my “new” size! That way everyone benefits!

Donate to local women’s center or take them to a local WW meeting for a clothes swap, when meetings start again.

I am a lifetime member of Ww. My weight fluctuates out of control over the years. I kept my larger clothes. A mistake for myself. Now I have been below goal for some time. I gave away all of my large wardrobe. Good luck with the journey

It’s scary. It’s like defying the fates when you throw away the fat clothes and fate says oh yes you will re-gain. Not an easy decision for sure.
