Has anyone ever boiled the two ingredient bagels before baking? Curious how they will turn out before I do it and mess them up.

I let them rest for 30-40 minutes before I bake them. They tend to rise without boiling. Just a thought.

Ohhhh got it lol I’m not a baker so I have no idea but I just made a batch without boiling and they’re delicious

I do. I only do it because that how traditional bagels are made.

I do, they seem to plump up more that way. more airy.

We did and didn’t notice much difference. Definitely not worth the extra step.
