This subject will be argued till doomsday befalls us all. @perviouso whatever works for you. If you drink these every day, but don’t count the points, and you continue losing weight, then I say continue on. If you drink these, don’t count points, and are at a stall, then maybe you should start counting the points. It is your body, and your choice.

No, we can’t change the form of the fruit to keep it zero. You can eat whole fruit with yogurt.

Any fruit put into a smoothie or dried is not zero points. You can search this topic within for a full explanation.

I asked a couch yesterday through the app and she told me it was zero as long as I did not add anything that had a point value. I was always under the impression that it was points

@compensable if you pulverize fruit it has points.

You can do whatever you want. What I’m reading is if you want to follow WW to the absolute letter of the law, no adjustments, no changes as per your preferences then you have to chew your fruit. Live a little, think outside the box, expand your world! It’s just a plan. sometimes plans change. The world will continue to revolve if we “drink our fruit” once in a while.

My counselor says they count points if in a smoothi and the reason is because with the actual fruit it takes more energy and time to eat the actual fruit where in a smoothie you just drink it down quickly and you might consume several smoothies. whereas you cannot eat that much fruit most likely.

Per a WW meeting - I was told the FRUIT is '0' points BUT once it is blended it contains POINTS! The reason is because our chewing and digestion process eating fresh fruits Eliminates the point BUT placing the Fruit in a BLEN@perviousER does all the work and there for adds points to the fruit!

@lachman correct. Well said too

@methadone7 thought so but seeing others are not agreeing- it’s old info so maybe now its different? I’ll have to Re Ask Lol
by (8.1k points)
@lachman No it’s still the same people just choose not to believe it. When you eat fruit in its whole form your body has to break it down but when you put it in the blender it’s already broken down and it’s much easier for your body to digest it so you’re not using it to your advantage :you are correct

@methadone7 Thought so - BUT I was hoping I was wrong LOL

I do not count smoothies. I just use it in my weekly points. I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna drink that much smoothies to use up all my weekly points.

I know that technically smoothies have points however I chose not to count them if I didn’t add anything other than plain Yogurt and fruit and I got back to my goal weight eating them often.

I've lost nearly 50 lbs on WW and didn't know about this rule until I almost hit my goal. I was making smoothies for almost every breakfast prior to that. I don't make smoothies much anymore, but I think the rule isn't needed for everyone.

Well i read the Ww notice above and now I’m on the fence. It’s not that your body is not breaking down the fruit the article states it “might not“ make you feel as full as if you chew it. @perviousrinking doesn’t give u a sense of fullness compared to eating it. I say I kind of don’t like that explanation and I may try a smoothies. I think the rule of thumb for all of us should be moderation
