I absolutely love pop (soda) and find it to be the absolute hardest thing to give up. Do you have any recommendations that could help with my need for a sweet drink? I've tried Bubly or sparkling water and I greatly dislike the taste. Thank you!

Try plain sparkling with stevia or you might like Zevia soda. I like some of the flavors, not all. The cola taste like diet coke.

Ice is a great mix up but instead try Minute Maid 15 calories fruit punch or lemonade. Once in a while not regularly.

I like the flavored water at Costco. It is their store brand and comes in three different flavors in one package. Green, orange, and red. I like them all.

Club soda and lemon. I also find kombucha satisfies both soda and beer cravings. They have a lot of flavors. So if you don’t like one, try another.

You can buy a carbonation machine, SodaStream, and use either plain water or buy flavours to add. We had one at work & I added @castile87843 Lite. Works great!

I was a big pop drinker too. I drink alot of ice water and unsweetened ice tea with lemon. When I need a break from water and ice tea I will drink lemonade, and once in a great while I will drink a glass of pop. Pop keeps me up at night because of the caffeine so I try to drink very little of it.
by (110 points)
@sushi lemonade! Thanks I will try that as a substitute. Soda is my weakness.

I prefer Diet Coke, I also like crystal light green tea. I prefer to eat my calories, not drink them. I feel concerned about the diet sweeteners used in those products. Not a fan of drinking water.

I have a soda stream, if you don’t want to use diet sweeteners, just mix a bit of fruit juice with it. There are many things you can add to the fizzy water.

Funny how I just saw this post and I was going to post this for everyone to see I just bought this cherry flavoured bubbly water and it tastes so much like Dr Pepper I am in love! And it’s zero points no sugar and no sodium!

If you are trying to avoid all the aspartame in diet cokes, I would get Bubly and add the Stur fruit or lemon concentrate to it. It is Zero points and has a great flavor. But, if you want a great premade soda, you gotta go with Blue Sky. It's zero sugar and has a great flavor. Virgil's zero sugar made with stevia has a really good Orange and Lemon Lime soda, as well, but can be pricey. Those are my two favorites. Other than that, I just buy water/tea and use the Stur brand or Sweet Drops to make it taste good.

Seltzer water is gross. I love the ICE drinks. No calories no sugar and many flavors. We get them at Costco just their Kirkland Brand! OR at Walmart they have their brand of I believe great American is the name. Lots of flavors and very cheap. The lemon lime tastes like 7 up to me

Before starting WW, I drank 2 cans of Coca-Cola a day plus sweet tea (Chick-fil-A and Sonny’s). It was super hard to stop, but I do treat myself with 1 glass every now and then. It’s been 30 days. and I have had a sweet drink 2x. I usually have unsweetened tea with lemon and Stevia or Sprite Zero a couple of times a week. Water has become my best friend.

I use the little packets that you put in water, the peach tea is great and so is the lemonade, my second choice is Coke 0. I drink a glass of water per day. I know it's not good for me. I have always disliked water.
by (1.4k points)
@ottillia , I love the peach tea one and the true cherry limeade. Yum. I drink diet coke as well. I always have water to drink and have started enjoying better than pop. Which is hard to believe for me.

Have you tried cordial? I think it’s called squash in some countries, it’s like a concentrate you mix with water or sparkling water. Where I am there’s lots of zero point ones available, I mix with sparkling water as a soft drink replacement

I was a pop drinker as well. I hated water. then I purchased a Sodastream. best investment ever! Walmart carries their own brand of water enhancers and there are so many flavours. I especially like the the black iced tea and raspberry flavours. I carry one in my purse and now drink only water at a restaurant with a squirt of flavour

Finally just made up my mind that I didn’t want to drink it anymore and that did it! Just make up your mind. You can do if if I can. Coke Free 5 months now. Never going back!

Maybe you need to give up trying to find a satisfying soda and go for a drink that is completely different - like hot cinnamon tea. In other words, find something else to love.
