On blue. @perviousown 56lbs! If one plan doesn’t work try the others BUT give it a month before changing. Good luck! You got this

@kwiatkowski276 I’m just starting, going to do blue plan. Any tips/suggestions? Looks like you’ve had great success. If you don’t mind me asking, how long has it taken you to lose 56 lbs.?
by (730 points)
@afterimage I started 4/2019. I want to lose 13 more pounds. Take it day to day. Food prep by thinking of meals, snacks, desserts to purchase and having ingredients always available at your home so you don’t grab something quick/handy that’s usually unhealthy. I love Pintrest for recipe ideas or creating my own recipes using the WW app and seeing how I can create things with least amount of points.
by (150 points)
@kwiatkowski276 thank you! What are some of your go to’s for snacks, desserts, etc. Do you ever eat frozen meals, lean cuisine, Smart Ones, etc.?
by (730 points)
@afterimage I do not eat frozen meals. Even though it is hard to find time to food prep between work and grandkids I find an hour on weekends to get ready for the next week. Make your grocery list with meal plan for week in mind. Chicken breast, fish, veggies ( I will use frozen at times), fruits, deli meats, Sara @turaco47 delightful bread, low fat Redi whip on top of banana and raspberries with one crushed up graham cracker ( sweet treat), low fat cottage cheese, FF grated cheese, ground chicken or turkey for meatloaf and chili, beans, sugar free puddings. Stock up spice cabinet. Adding spices to meat and veggies so it “changes” up the taste so you don’t get bored with just chicken. I order Built bars as a good sweet option. It’s like a candy bar with only 3  points. They seem pricey but if you order 3 boxes, keep them in fridge better if cold, it’s like $1. 68 a bar and worth it, several flavors. Again I get several recipes from Pintrest , always scan what you put in for points to just double check what “they” say it is. Two ingredient dough is good. Drink drink drink water! Good luck. Track everything. Even if I have “ vacation donut” I track it. Doesn’t make me feel bad just keeps me in check in case I didn’t loose any this week. might have been the donut lol You got this. This plan works!

@kwiatkowski276 you are awesome! Thank you so much for all the advice. Is there a food list available somewhere with points listed or have you just learned the best options by actually scanning to know the points in all the foods you mentioned?
by (730 points)
@afterimage There is a zero point list you can print off. I actually scan things as I go through store lol But don’t freak out when you scan some things. Example: we love Cheetos white cheddar to have with sandwiches but 32 pieces for 5 points! Not doing it BUT 16 are 2 points and plenty to have with a sandwich. Good thins corn crackers 21 for 2 points with a wedge of baby bell cheese 1 point. So night time snack 3 points. So satisfying. Have fun with it. I love scanning and finding things I can have for low points. Again just cut down serving size, add 0 points foods to satisfy hunger.

@kwiatkowski276 great ideas! Thank you, I’ve never even tried white cheddar Cheetos! Lol

@kwiatkowski276 where is the list of 0 point foods located?

They're not new. They're old plans resurrected and Freestyle is now blue.

I think it is truly which one works best with your mindset. Would you do better with more zero point foods and less daily points, less zero point foods and more dairly points, or somewhere in the midle. Taking the little quiz that WW has for you is probably the best way to determine.

I love it. And all the plans work, you just have to decide which you like. They are all based on Smart Points. Green is like Smart Points Beyond the Scale Blue is Freestyle Purple has more 0pt foods than Blue (incl whole grains, brown rice, potatoes - sweet and white) but also less @perviousaily Points. I do this one and love it. I do like WW new stronger focus on a healthy lifestyle instead of just weight loss. I mean, that's always been a component of what they did but now it is a bigger focus. I started (restarted? ) when it was Beyond the Scale (now Green) - I lost weight. I stuck with it during Freestyle (now Blue) - I lost weight. Now doing Purple - I'm losing weight! So all work - you just have to find the one that fits your eating style. And you can always easily switch if you want to. I love having choices.

I'm sticking to blue plan. I looked at them all and feel they're all too similar to switch. And I don't need extra carbs(sugar) in my life.

It depends how much structure you need--Green is the most structured with the least amount of zero point foods whereas purple is very flexible with the most zero point foods, with blue falling in between. I do purple, but blue may be a good place to start and after a couple of weeks you can reevaluate.

I started in 2017 and the program was much similar to the "Green" program now. Shortly after the program changed to what is much like the Blue Program that had a much larger variety of 0 point foods including eggs and chicken breast. The "new" Purple program seems very much like the old "Simply Filling" program. In my opinion if you can control the quantity/serving sizes of the 0 point foods then Blue has lots of flexability. If you are used to allowing points for most things such as eggs and chicken and this helps control a volume eater, then you may want to use the Green Program likely very similar to what you did a few years ago. If you have buckets of self control then head out for the Purple which allows potatos, some pastas and other goodies. I honestly don't think I can handle this one but lots of folks do well on it. Sorry for long post, but this is just the way I see the new program where you can choose your program. I honestly think the new choice program is because some folks who did well on the old (green) program but could not handle the flexability of the newer Blue. Some thought if eggs are 0 points, I'll have 6 for breadfast. Good Luck!

I was a skeptic but a family member lost 20lbs so why not try ‍♀️. I have been on blue since after Thanksgiving and have lost over 25lbs and have had 2 friends, husband and daughter start on it!

@headfirst890 that’s awesome and seems like quick weight loss. Any tips/suggestions? I’m just starting and really need to see quick results.

@afterimage I found my biggest issue was binge eating dinner. I love love food and over ate alot! I also gave up alcohol, that after work glass of wine. I have adopted the Cense wine in its place. And only Friday evening! When I started I stocked up on the Healthy Choice Simply Steamers. Made sure I ate breakfast. I have never been a snacker, sweet eater so overeating and alcohol were my down fall. Coffee became my next hurdle to fix and found Munkfruit sweetener thanks to the group. So now my coffee is actually only one 1 tbsp of creamer vs alot more than that  What I love about this program vs other diets, no food is off limits! We eat alot of chicken, turkey in place of ground beef. My kids will actually eat the WW meals I prepare. score! Find your weaknesses and work on one of them at a time. Good Luck! We are here to help.

I'm on blue, but I think it depends a lot on your personal preferences and metabolism. I think it's great that there are multiple plans now, and one is essentially Smart Points (right? ), so all the people who felt that they did better on Smart Points can just do what works for them.

It’s so nice to have choice! You can choose which colour plan will be most livable for you! They all will work for you, but you may prefer one over the others. And it’s easy to switch if you want to.

I do blue and it works for me! Just like anything you have to follow the plan. I think this one is better then the other ones they have had. It feels more like a lifestyle change then a diet bc you can eat anything and you don't feel bad when you cheat alittle bc you really never cheat.

I've been on it for years and liked the Simply Filling option when it was available. Turns out Freestyle was pretty much the same. and Blue is the same as Freestyle. So. that combination of zero point foods seems to work best for me. BTW, I returned to Lifetime about a year ago and have maintained below my goal since then.

I believe it depends on the individual. But for me purple works the best especially because I eat plant base foods and most everything I eat is zero points! WW used to have a plan called the Cord program that they had years ago that is Similar but the purple is a lot better with a lot more choices that are 0 points. And if there’s something I want that isn’t zero points I still have 16 points to get me through the day. I absolutely love it!

I LOVE it and it truly depends on which works best for YOUR life. Give the plan that you think may be the best, stay on it at least a couple of weeks, if you think it isn't right after two weeks or more, change to another. that is the beauty of it. Good luck!

It's one plan with three options. They are all good depending on which style of losing is good for you. I like Green because it's the old Smart Points Program and keeps me more accountable. But each option is good.
