I should be able to make the genuine cable reach. But is outdoors.

Cool. Regardless of it being a genuine cable, I still think under an eave is the best way to go if you can

Absolutely if you can but it's not that easy to run their cable and I did have an issue with a non-genuine cable leaking water into the connector. Luckily I caught it before major damage was done but I moved the camera and only use it on battery now. Some say silicon sealant can be helpful. Of course if you're using it indoors, have at it

No issue with Wasserstein cable. On 2 Pro 2's for 4 months. Never need to realign since don't have to take down to charge. Also worked perfectly in freezing temperatures. I have one exposed to rain and snow and haven't had water problems. Wasserstein is extremely tight fit with right angle connector.
