Has anyone mounted a camera on a cable pole that’s located on your property? My power company owns the pole and said no camera but I could take it down if they have to come service the pole

I work for the power company. And yes they do own the pole. Personally I would mount it someplace else just in case. You wont be there when they are out there so wont have time to remove. If some kind of management knows about this situation they will be vigilant and you dont need the hassle.

I wouldn’t recommend putting it on a pole you have no rights on. I understand in theory you’d take it down if they come out. But if they come out and you don’t take it down (if they even give you the chance), you will probably find it on the ground in pieces below it. They will remove anything off the poles that isn’t supposed to be there. Every and any foreign obstruction on a power pole is a safety issue and gets dealt with as such. Why not just buy a 6X6 i post and install it in your backyard and mount the camera on it?
