Hi guys I’ve recently purchased the arlo pro-3 and have noticed the battery life on one camera lasted less than 24 hours. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this happen? Just wondering if it’s normal or if the camera battery is faulty. Thanks in advance!

With my experience if the camera gets a lot of action it drains it fast so I just keep mine plugged in charging all the time I have 6 pro 3 cameras and never had anymore trouble with battery life

It definitely depends on a number of factors. The primary one being how many activations per day and how long each recording is. I have cameras down the sides of my house that hardly ever record and the battery lasts over 6 months. In my driveway, it records about 7-8 times per day and I'll recharge the battery around every 3-4 months

It sounds like that camera may be on continuous recording ie 24 hours per day. If if is, reduce to motion and record for a minute or two.

You can't have CVR without AC power pack connected

@boneyard hi, it wasn’t constantly recording, just recording 10-15 second clips if motion or sound was detected. I have switched this off now

I’ve disarmed Audio and motion detection, to stop it recording clips. Hoping the battery lasts longer

Whats the point of camera if all detections are disabled?

Good point, however while in lockdown I’m home and watch live when I’m Bored. When I’m not home and at night I’ll switch them back on.

Also changed the video setting > power management > best battery life usually helps
