I have a question? I live on 37 acres am looking at the Arlo system but unsure about the wifi use of these cameras.I have a question? I live on 37 acres am looking at the Arlo system but unsure about the wifi use of these cameras. I have boosters around my property and wondering if I have an Arlo system do the cameras just connect to the box it comes with or can you connect wirelessly through wifi. I can connect the Arlo box to my router but cameras will be to far to connect to the Arlo box. Any suggestions or will this still work in my case?

Look for Arlo GO cameras. They require no base station and use cellular data for connection. I would recommend a solar charging panel also if power is an issue.

if power isn't an issue then they should use WIFI cameras right? Poster says they have internet coverage.

Only if the base station can have access to the internet supply and the cameras can be positioned within the range of the base unit. It would be hard to cover 37 acres with a base station system. The Arlo Go cameras are self sufficient without a base station so you could put them anywhere. If you are just looking to cover around your house (wherever the internet is present) then a base station system would work.

I have a system about a quarter mile from my house. The only way I could make it work was to get a Sprint WiFi Hot Spot. The cameras talk to the base, which talks to a wireless range extender, which talks to the WiFi hot spot.

Ok I just asked this same question. So I called and the told all wireless carries can put the cameras on your plan. And then you don’t need the base. So I ordered Arlo Go and Arlo 3 for different parts of my ranch and barns
