Giving it a last chance here before I turn it back to the store ! Can’t get the cameras to sync. have tried all tips I’ve found with no luck . Have 2 Arlo PRO 2 cameras and a one led base station. The BT is online and have tried resetting and also restarted the BT with the Ethernet cable connected before power. When I push sync the camera flashes blue also the BT starts flashing but with a higher pace. After about to minutes camera flashes orange and so does the BT for a few secs before it stops. Following the instructions in the app, but it’s just trying to identify BT and after the lights stopped blinking the app goes back to “press sync” on camera. The BT goes back to solid blue light. Have tried taking batteries in and back on the cameras . So , is there anymore tips on getting them to work or should I just go back an make a complain?

I think if your using your phone to set it up, I want to say you have to have bluetooth on and connected to same wifi network as your arlo

@breather Thanks , yes it’s connected to the same WiFi and Bluetooth is on. But what do you mean the Bluetooth does in this setup?

I'm not sure, I just remember setting pro2's up and I had to have bluetooth on and connected to same network when setting up.

Do you have an ARLO account?

You need to sync through the app. They dont just connect automatically.

@epochmaking4 Can you see the cameras on the AP?
by (2.3k points)
@epochmaking4 If you do not see the cameras, on the do you see the icon add a device. If so, click on it and chose cameras, the follow the prompts.

@locule6011 yes that’s the way I try to sync
by (230 points)
@softfinned yes that’s what I’m trying , but I doesn’t work

@epochmaking4 it sounded like you were just pressing the buttons. So you are going through the app, add new device, trying to get it to sync, and it asks you to hold up a QR code the camera?
by (2.3k points)
@epochmaking4 . Not sure, does you base station have the 3 lights on it? Is so they all need to be green. Are you able to get a screen shot of the AP on your phone? So I can see what you see?
by (230 points)
@locule6011 ok yes going through the steps, but it haven’t asked me about QR code? These can’t see any code on? These are pro 2.
by (3k points)
@epochmaking4 I thought the Pros all do the QR code as you try to do the initial sync (it's been a while since I have had to sync pros). So maybe I'm wrong there and it might just be the Q that requires the QR code. But yes, you should be adding a new decide through the app, pressing the sync buttons when asked, etc. Sometimes starting over, removing the base from the account and resyncing it can help. You could also have a defective unit, either the base or the camera.

@epochmaking4 sorry, I do not know that language in the pictures. However, what is the icon on the bottom right. On the camera picture, did you click on the icon on the bottom. If so what does show.
by (230 points)
@softfinned  Swedish. It says “continue “ and press after pressing sync on camera. Then the other 2 pictures show during the try to sync, and afterwords the camera picture is shown again

Try syncing the cameras again. Or hit reset on the base. The cameras work on 2. 4gz, I presume your router uses the freq range. I will contact my friend you just set up their ARLO. You have The same base station as theirs, which is newer than mine. While the set up should be same. I will ask about QRC code and see if theirs came with one and if they had to use it

@softfinned you don’t need Bluetooth or qr codes for Pro devices.
by (230 points)
@softfinned Yes I’m on 2. 4 , have also tried when having the phone connected to 5

I hope you have it working. I talked to my friend, they said they followed the online I instructions for setting up. All I can say, if it is not up and running is, make sure your internet is up sand working. Restart the base, and follow the set up directions.

@softfinned B. Cavas I picked the Pro 2 in that picture . No HD option to choose so I’m not sure what you mean?
by (230 points)

@epochmaking4 that is always a possibility. Have you tried contacting ARLO?
by (230 points)
@softfinned Yes , sent mail via the web and waiting for someone to come back . The chat seems not to work and no answer on fb.

The base and app work independently with your internet connection. So let's turn off the base. Delete the app from your phone. Delete cache and history. Restart your phone. Install the app.

@epochmaking4 OK. Thanks. Holding the sync button down. The camera should be blinking blue. Have you seen it
by (230 points)
@best2 Yes , it starts blinking when I release the button
by (4.5k points)
@epochmaking4 which model base are you using.
by (4.5k points)
@epochmaking4 OK ty. So try using a PC instead of the app to install the system. Hold the sync button for 10 seconds, you'll hear a click. The camera is reset
by (230 points)
@best2 Will try using pc today . Tried to reset cameras but I can not here any click and not sure that worked in these cameras .

Reset & remove the base station, re-add the base station, then try to add the cameras, that’s the only thing I can think of. Call arlo and get them to help you or get a replacement unit. I have that unit with arlo pro 2 and original cameras working just fine and also an older base station with the original cameras working no issues.
