Have a couple of questions please. Thanks in advance! 1. I have the original Arlo, works ok. Takes forever to connect to some camera's. Does the newer systems connect faster? Worth the added cost? 2. I need to setup a system in my barn. I don't have ethernet there so I am thinking of getting a point to point. Then attaching that to a router. Anyone know if the Arlo will work connected to the router that way?

1. Yes though not hugely so. Yes, the Arlo Pro 2 is the best camera to get without needing a monthly plan. 2. Yes, you can plug the base station into anything with an ethernet port that gives internet access eg a Netgear Orbi satellite or a wifi range extender

I have the arlo pro 3, it’s my first camera system. Although I like them I wish they would record sooner when detecting a person walking. It also takes about 20-30 seconds when I click on them to view live so wish that was quicker. Some people may not like the 10 or 15 a month for the streaming/cloud, when you think of a security system and spending 25-30 bucks a month it’s not too bad.

I have the Arlo Ultra and it still take approx. 30 seconds to connect which I can't stand that it takes that long.
