New Arlo Pro 2 user here. Hooked up my base no problems. Synced my cameras in my house 12 inches away from the base and they connected fine. I go to install my cameras in the desired location and I lose connection. I moved the base to a more centralized location and it still happens. I have silicone covers will this decrease signal strength? I also have a mesh WiFi system in my home which reaches outside of my home for every other WiFi device. Still not connecting with the Arlo PLEASE HELP!

How far away are the cameras from the base station? How many walls does the signal have to go through? What are the walls made of? Any metal mesh in the walls? The silicon covers shouldn't make a big difference but try without. Try changing the channel on your mesh wifi and then restarting the base station. The channel Arlo uses is the same as the 2. 4GHz on your wifi

@patty98 log into your wifi router. Often 192. 168. 1. 254 etc

I have the same systems as you. Arlo Pro2 and WiFi mesh. I have concrete block walls and I did what @terrie is recommending that you do and problem solved. Hope it works for you.

Mine is going through 4 walls and is about 30ft away from the base and seems to be working fine but low signal

@arleta25 My only problem is upload speed. I am able to see the video on my phone but it’s delayed. Upload speed doesn’t even make it to 1 Mbps.

@lundt that’s probably why I think mine is near 40MBPS upload and 430 down load speed

Yeah, do what @terrie says. I have some cameras that are about 70 to 90 feet away from the base station, and I have a mesh network

If you download an app on your phone called Wifi Analyzer (there are many with this name) you can see what wifi networks are around you and which are least congested. Pick on that's least congested, preferably 1, 6, or 11. Make sure you disable 20/40 Mhz co-existence to limit the channel width and reduce interference

Guys, whatever router you have it doesn’t affect the arlo network and the won’t connect to it. They will only connect to the base station’s network, which you can’t access or tweak or whatever ! Try bringing closer your base just for the sake of trying and if it’s not working it means that either the base is faulty or your WiFi environment is too busy. in that case call the support to know what band you should avoid using in your mesh to clear up some space for your base station

@monecious78489 not true. The Arlo base station selects the same channel as the strongest 2. 4GHz network close to it

@terrie Thanksng nope. it uses the 2. 4ghz because it’s the one that reaches the farthest. Any router avoids to use a channel already used by another one or close to a channel that is used. that’s the channel optimisation otherwise it will get too much interference. Did you ever try putting two WiFi routers close to each others and set in the same frequence and same channel? It’s impossible to use
