Does anyone else get hesitant to spend FUN money? I started an Adventure Fund as one of my sinking funds. I have $200 in there. No real plans for it specifically, just wanted to have some cash set aside for fun things as they come up so I put a little in each check. Welp, there is a soccer game coming up in a few weeks that my husband and I wanna go too. Initially I was like CRAP - I don't have an envelope for that. Then I was like, WAIT! I DO :) Then immediately I was like - wait. should I spend this on that? Maybe I should save it? But for what, idk. Then I was like, NOPE, STOP. This money is exactly for things like this! I have to get used to telling myself it's okay to spend money on FUN things, especially when I have put money aside specifically for things like this (but of course now I am like, let's see how quickly I can get this back up to $200 LOL).

Yuuuuuup - we have been debt free for almost three years and I still struggle with this! HA! We are being super restrictive with our eating out, but do have some fun money just hanging out so we decided to meeting of a Valentine's lunch tomorrow and use the fun money. I felt like I had to give myself permission to be okay with that.

Yessss - I really struggle with this! Last week my daughters swim lessons were cancelled so we made plans with friends to go to the fun center so the girls could play games. Beforehand I almost cancelled like 3 times cause I was like ugh we are going to have to spend money ‍♀️ I have a fun category for this reason!

I would if it’s for myself  I have young kids so my fun money fund is essential!
