This is the first month I'm using money I saved in a sinking fund (my daughter's birthday! ). my question is, what do I use for the category in my expense tracker? Like, I counted the total as income the way Miko does, and included it in my cash envelope section of the Bill Tracker. but when I took my daughter out to dinner last night, what category do I call that? Should I create a category for the times I spend sinking funds? Or do I just call it Kaitlyn's birthday because that's the name of the sinking fund? I don't know why this is confusing to me, but it is LOL
