For those of you who just cannot live without your self care items (brow wax/threading, nails, etc) how do you budget for them? Do you count it as a bill? Or is it a sinking fund?

I pay $42 a month to get my nails done (with tip) and I budget $60 a month for “beauty” this is the only envelope I roll over month to month because I know I’ll need a new face wash, or my hair oil will run out in like three months, or my foundation runs low I’ll have a little bit bigger budget as the months roll on. If that makes any sense.

I don’t personally do this because I cut that all but I would make it an envelope if it is a weekly or monthly activity

I really don't understand the difference between monthly budgeting and sinking fund. Isn't it pretty much the same thing?!

So all Variables are sinking funds? Or sinking funds are not something I "budget for" just something I "want" that I try to make work?

Like, I know how many times a year I'm going to get my hair done, so I take those amounts and divide them by twelve, so every month I'm "sinking" it into an envelope so I zero out my budget?!?! I GET IT!
