I shopped the freezer for our dinner, found sole for a rich fish soup, crabcakes for the second course with red lobster biscuit mix, and am looking for a dessert recipe now. I planned previously and purchased him a silver chain off Amazon and some fire retardent gloves he had been wanting- oh and a bright yellow teddy. He loves bright colours. I bought him a heart-shaped box of chocolates too! We're watching a movie I had been wanting to watch for months and going to bed early ;)

We are staying in and making Risotto, Petite Gâteau for dessert and wine from Trades Joe’s. They have inexpensive but delicious wine.

@aloysia lol exactly! I mean it's fun to do something small I get that for sure, we give small gifts to our girls but it's like a shirt or a pair of clearance rack slippers  (I just wrapped those 2 minutes ago) but after that it's just another day

Dollar tree goodies lol I only had $10 so I got 3 boxes of chocolates and 3 teddy bears. One for my son, my bf, and his son. Nothing big or crazy, keeping it super simple this year

Chocolate covered strawberries. Today I bought strawberries for 1. 99, semi-sweet chocolate $2. 00. You can buy a cheap bottle of wine and make spaghetti and salad. Light up a couple emergency candles that you might have on hand, and bam! Simple romantic dinner!
