UGH.  Today I made my first real budget mistake.UGH. Today I made my first real budget mistake. I read my sinking fund total as my LEFTOVER AMOUNT and made an extra debt payment in that exact amount! I took a deep breath and changed the amounts to zero. Missing a paycheck won't kill my sinking funds, right?!

Just keep moving forward! The way I see it, the worst mistakes are the ones in the rearview mirror - the ones that came BEFORE the budgeting & discipline & debt payoffs. You got this!

As long as you don’t need Sinking funds next week  but really thought just keep On going. You made another payment to CC!

Just double up next paycheck and don’t send extra to debt. As long as you didn’t need that money next week you are fine, you’ve got this!

The sinking funds are for things long down the road. I won’t lie, it was nice to see $340 going towards the credit card!
