I'm a bit obsessed. I use Capital One Credit Wise, Experian, and Credit Karma. One of my cards has My Fico so I check that as well.

I like the Discover score card best because it shows your FICO score. It’s free even if you don’t have a cc with them.

Discover has my FICO score, Capital One has creditwise, and I also check Credit Karma. They are all different number but within a few points of each other.

Credit karma, credit sesame and the other places that give free vantage scores are only good for seeing what accounts you have. My fico, Experian ( free exp score ) TransUnion, and Equifax site are the best. Credit karma score can be 40+ points off

Credit Karma uses Vantage scores. you need your FICO. its good as a tool but don't rely on Credit Karma .

This may be an absurd question, but does checking to see what you qualify for in regard to a mortgage do anything to your credit score?

So I keep seeing this advice that you should add your kids as an authorized user to your credit card so that when they are 18 they will have a good credit score.
