This month was rough. As expected. Pay checks are still small due to holidays and snow days (all days I don’t get paid when there isn’t school) I haven’t paid the rent yet this month because I haven’t had the money. Tax return will hit the bank any day now. So I’ll get caught up. March is going to be sooo much better!

When I get the return I’m planning on paying ahead on a few bills (electric, internet, and putting away a few months rent)partly to prepare for summer. And partly to prepare for next school year.

Shockingly well. I probably just jinxed myself.

Pretty well though I am doing things a little different than most. I have however been under my budgeted amount for electricity; BUT I just set up equal billing which will help ensure that my bill doesn’t fluctuate, making it easier to pay a set amount  so all in all good

Loving the savings challenged. Taped up my second envelope and tucked it away with the first one. Doing the dollar one for March and I’ve already started. Budget is on target.

I erased one page so much I had to reprint it  But we have lots of changes going. Some surprise money and an income adjustment. I had to account for all of that. I didn’t waste it. I was able to put together a plan and stock up on groceries and sock money into sinking funds.

February is always rough for us. 3 family birthdays, Valentine's day and because my husband and I both have our birthdays this month that means two car registrations and inspections. My 13 year old Hyundai needed a $350 repair too. March is looking better so I'm looking forward to February being over.

I’ve surprisingly stayed in budget. With my birthday this month and planning for my husbands birthday and my daughters birthday next month. We sold a great deal of unused items. I’m glad we did. Otherwise the budget would’ve been busted! I’m also in track to catch up on all our bills and pay off my car in March

Good. Spending has been very low. Only had 2 grocery trips this month and less than 150 total. Ate out once, otherwise no fun spending. Enjoying being home instead of out. Bills are all paid and some in March also. Good month

I just started seriously writing down my spending for my weekly spending envelope and can’t believe the money I waste. It’s very eye opening. Also my big goal this month was to come in under budget for my groceries. I budget $400 and right now I’m about $100 under that and only a few days left and my freezer and pantry are full. Sale shopping, inventory, list making and meal prepping make a big difference.

We’re in a real rough spot until May we found out. We thought we’d start tackling things in January but realized we had all of our vehicle tags due, a weekend trip for my sons birthday, birthday party all before our cruise in April that our dog sitter bailed and that’s another $900 we have to come up with. So all of our overtime money, money from selling things, change to cash in etc is being saved/used for all these things. So far we’ve saved enough for each occurrence before it gets here but now we’re left with final cruise expenses and $900 for the dogs which makes me very nervous we’re not going to be able to come up with

My HUGE problem is when I use cash envelopes, I have a hard time tracking what I’ve spent! Ugh!

Not so bad for my first real month. I haven’t been all cash yet. Just made my envelopes yesterday, and haven’t really started on debt . I went off budget yesterday and spent $50 on Easter. Then ordered my self the skin care set that I’ve been wanting after using the trial it’s changed my face and I know I need it. But it was $150 I have been able to save: $790 in my checking account $200 in savings account $70 in tfsa account $150 in $5 bill challenge $50 in $1 & $2 I have been able to put an extra $60 each on 2 CC’s All my bills are paid so it’s a great start I think

Most of my envelopes are still full . Made an extra credit card payment and started funding my sinking funds  Woke up this morning to my state refund and paid off $946, using that minimum payment snowball into my High interest card .
