Do you combine your grocery, pet, and household (e. g. toiletries etc) budget? Or keep separate? And what amount do you budget? How many family members? Thank you!

Grocery and household are together. Pet is separated only because food / litter is delivered or set for pick up & I pay off my debit. We try to stick around $100 per week for two adults that have dinner guests like 2 x a week. Pretty much all meals are from home.

I combine it. it’s gets too confusing otherwise. I need simplicity in my crazy life! I’m in the UK so around £75 per week on food etc. I have two cats and two pre-teen boys.

I separate. One groceries (divided into 4. 5 weeks emvelopes), one for beverages, one drugstore for household and personal, and one for the guinea pigs maintenance (food is with groceries since it's salad and so), and one for the cats. I need everything separated. Otherwise I would mess up at the end of the month

And I have 120 € per week groceries (60 in the 0. 5), 60 per month for beverages. 40 for drugstore, 20 guinea, 50 the cats. 2 to 3 adults and one 5 year old. 3 guinea and 3 cats

I separate! Right now I’m budgeting about Groceries - $400/month (me and child ) Pet - $260ish/month And haven’t gotten to budget for toiletries or health and beauty stuff as I’m still tracking the cost of these vs how long it takes me to use them

I used to combine, but always over spend, so thinking I should separate and track to see how long it takes to go through some things.

I keep them separate. Food, cats, dogs. I roll over the animal envelopes so that it covers vet visits and unexpected costs.

We separate and roll any extra into the next month

2 adults, 2 teens, 1 cat. All is combined, $400/month. *I truly thinks how much one spends a month depends on where you live. So many areas all over the world there is no way $400 would feed 4 people.

I do grocery and household together and budget $400 a month for 2 adults. I do pet separately as that is auto delivered from Chewy every other month.

Groceries, dogs, & household are separate. (Eating out is also NOT part of groceries for us. )

I keep mine together. But we don’t have pets. If we did, I’d keep them separate. I’m not going to worry about buying toothpaste though and pulling $1 out of a separate envelope. I do have a house envelope, but that’s used for decor and maintenance, not every day items.

I do combine it. Because I shop at walmart for the most part. We are a family of 4 and 3 dogs lol.

Pets are separate but all that other stuff is together in my grocery budget. $125 a week for two adults. My oldest moved in with my dad to help care for him and my youngest is vegan so she buys her own food

All mine are kept together bc I do it all at the same time. We have 6 of us, w adults, 2 teenagers, 1 preteen, and a 5 year old, plus 1 cat and 3 birds. We spend on average about 400-500 a month

I combine those categories because I typically shop for all at the same place. My budget for this varies depending on our needs but it typically $150 per week. Family of 4 plus a dog.

I like to keep mine separate so I can know how much I’m spending in each category (grocery v household). I also would use it all for food if I didn’t separate it. There’s 2 adults, a toddler, and a baby.
