How did you fail? Did you go over budget? Just throw it out the window? Also, how was it broken down? By paycheck, month in total? Lastly, what is your main goal for budgeting?

Keep tweaking it until it works for you, you’ll get there it took me about 8 months before I really felt confident with it. Remember you don’t have to do everything all at once or even at all, do what works for you. For instance I only use the the pay check budget sheet & cash envelopes. I started with using other items as well but became overwhelmed and figured out what I really needed. Good luck!

I failed on January somehow lost around 200 I don't even know where. But Feb is going there, Miko always talks about her why is bigger and this month I just keep looking at my son and thinking there is a way to promise him a better future and that he will not need for anything he will need, so motivation is focus on why this is your journey, I believe that is the biggest motivation we can have And yes there are days I gate my journey because I don't get to have lots of fun (yes fun that's in budget) but it is limited, but I do love knowing that there is a purpose. Oh and also visuals, I love being able to see a saving tracker getting colored up

Go back over your failed months and see what you failed at, come up with a plan to correct it. Stay consistent and don’t give up.

Do you have a why? If not figure out your why and post it somewhere that you can see it. So when you want to spend money you see why you are doing what you are doing.

Depends on what you feel like you are failing at. Is it tracking expenses, going over allotted budgets, forgetting bills, over drafting your account? Maybe incorporate habit trackers into your budgeting. Color in a box or use a sticker to mark everyday you track your expenses, etc. Celebrating all the small steps needed to turn budgeting into a habit can help you feel motivated and more successful.

I failed at the following: 1) not sticking to budget 2) pulled money from savings to move, ended up not moving and spent all the money I pulled out ($4, 000) 3) spent my rent money saved up on a “impulse” purchase with a plan to replace it and that fell through 4) tracking my spending is weeks behind, spent cash who knows where 5) I for the life of me can’t fill out the where did my money go worksheets *i didn’t over draft my account or use credit cards. I still have $ in savings but a whole lot less then I could. I’m SO MAD at myself I just want to spend more money
