I live in alberta, canada. Does anybody have a bank account that they can have 2 bank cards with? I want to open an account for my son that his father and I both have card access to, both put in a set amount of money every month and only use it when we need diapers, seasonal clothes, prescriptions for our son. I'd find it so much easier than having to send each other half of whatever when he needs something. We both go thru scotiabank and they dont offer anything like that.

Can’t you just open a joint bank account?

We can always get multiple cards for joint accounts at pretty much any bank. But it has to be joint. With a joint account, every account holder automatically gets a card.

If you open a joint account each owner will get their own debit card

I do. My son has a savings account but linked to my accounts. I have access to his but he only has access to his. We are with ATB
