Help!  Trying to find cheap but healthy dog food.Help! Trying to find cheap but healthy dog food. We have an over weight 10 year old black lab that must have a special food to watch her weight gain and we have a 2 year old German Shepherd that is on adult dog food. Any suggestions? The town I like in has a Costco , tractor supply store, and a few random feed stores. What is the cheapest but healthy brand of dog food? Thanks

We have 2 large Belgian malinois. We feed diamond naturals. Last a while and good but cost Effective!

We feed orijen and Stella and chewy for the pup. My neighbor loves the Costco adult and it’s on the “approved” list from my vet as well.

We’ve used Kirkland Nature’s Domain Lamb and Rice Dog Food from Costco for our Golden Retriever with no issues. They also have a Healthy Weight formula. Much more affordable than anywhere else we’ve found.

Purina Pro Plan is great for price and it’s one of the only bigger brands that is actually somewhat healthy for your dog.

To help offset the costs of our dog food we will also give our pup (puppy safe) veggie scraps.

I highly recommend checking whichever food you choose on dogfoodadvisor. com. Kirkland brand from Costco & American Journey brand from Chewy. com

I use Blue Buffalo. I have 2 medium dogs, and a 30 pound bag lasts a month. It’s a tiny bit more $$ but it costs about $1. 43 per day to feed both!
