Any advice/thoughts are appreciated! -Freezing Cheese ? -Freezing Milk ? -Freezing bread/buns? Is there anything else you buy in bulk and freeze?

Veggies freeze well. Just be sure to dry them completely. I freeze bread all the time and it turns out great when it’s thawed. You can freeze milk but be sure to pour off or use just a little bit of it first because it will expand when frozen like water.

Growing up, my mom always bought milk and bread and froze them (living in Alaska, essentials cost so much more) which worked great, especially in the winter months when supplies could get low in the stores.

All of the above. Shred the cheese. Milk needs to be in the gallon jug.

Texture changes with some milks ( leave room for expansion) almond milk is frozen into trays for shakes. Or I u thaw and blend it: Freeze all fruits that are going bad, I make 2 ingredient cookies ( bananas and oatmeal) zest the lemons and limes Soft Dairy doesn’t do well frozen IMO Bagels, lunch meat. ( might need to place a few paper towel in the container when thawed) soft shell tacos. Obv meat split into smaller portions.

All of those are fine to freeze. I only freeze shredded cheese because the texture of block cheese gets really crumbly when it thaws out. But we freeze shredded all the time and don’t ever notice a difference

Cheeses freeze great! My friend freezes milk. It changes color when frozen but goes back when defrosted. Not gonna lie, kinda freaked me out but it was fine. Lol

I LOVE freezer meals! We just saved and budgeted to buy a fridge for our garage so I can have more room to freeze meals. This semester is my last semester in grad school so I am gone 2 nights a week and like to put something in the crockpot before I leave for work or have stuff that my husband can pull out. I follow a girl on Instagram who is my INSPIRATION, she’s amazing! (Haley Wynn) But anyways, I just spent yesterday making and freezing pizza bagels, twice baked potatoes and freezer dump meals. I also, make double batches of soups and freeze 1/2 and then we eat the other 1/2

Don’t forget to keep a container in your freezer to catch all the leftover (say one or two bites left) veggies, meats and broths, noodles, rice, etc and have a “garbage soup” night. You can google this there’s lots of different ways  you don’t waste and it’s always so good

Yes, you can freeze milk! Thaw it overnight on the counter and once fully thawed, make sure to shake it before using it. No taste difference! I stock up when it’s cheap

We freeze shredded cheese and sliced cheese unless it is Colby jack. Sliced Colby jack falls apart after it thaws. Haven't had trouble with any other sliced cheese.

Just two here also. We bought a large package at the club of sliced cheese and froze half. Tasted great. Little crumbly like others have mentioned but worth it. And I’ve enjoyed eating the pieces that fell off.

I freeze milk all the time. Just pull it out the night before you need it. Put it in a sink full of water and shake it up the next morning! Still cold and ready to go.

We regularly freeze bread (and bread products) as well as Costco milk. We buy 4 gallons and put 3 in the freezer.
by (1.2k points)
@duly217 Do you have to pour any milk out into another container before placing in the freezer or put the entire gallon in the freezer? I’m wondering if the milk container would crack when frozen, if full.
by (550 points)
@wollongong1845 no, they do just fine! The plastic must be flexible enough.
