I have most dd set for coming out the 1st, 3-5 bills paid manually as they vary and I pay them as soon as I budget, and I have a few that are other times, so I tick them off when they go and write the date if it’s any different to what I expected.

Most of my things are auto w/draw so I just let them come out when they’re scheduled. I take out my cash for the month so what’s left in my account is about $200 for a cushion & what’s needed to pay the bills. I love it! So easy!

I still mark all my bill dates on the calendar and pay them all with the appropriate paychecks. When I pay them, I just indicate that they are paid and it gives me a piece of mind. For example, my electric bill is due feb 3rd but I paid it this past monday and now I dont have to worry about paying it on the due date or for late fees.

First time post but wondering what you guys do when your monthly mortgage payment goes down due to taxes/escrow(not entirely sure why but I feel like the start of every year it either goes up or down slightly) I still have our previous amount budgeted but should I adjust down (thinking not) or continue to make my previous payment amount and apply the additional to principle(?)

Question about doing own taxes - my husband and I usually pay a tax professional to do our taxes , the guy we use is familiar with doing taxes for law enforcement so before the reform he helped us with the deductions we could get , but now since you can’t do as much of that I’m considering saving the expense and doing it ourselves .
