I’ve started doing Walmart grocery pick up. When something comes up that’s needed, I just add it to my cart in the app. At the end of the week, I check out and all my stuff is there.

@amblyopia I really need to start using that. save time and don’t overspend on things you don’t need

@lest5 I loathe, despise and detest Walmart. But this way, I get what I need, stick to my budget and I don’t have to go in the stupid store.

Thats brilliant. I use Walmart pickup but never thought to add stuff as I thought about it. I try and remember or write it down and always end up forgetting things when I do log into Walmart.

I do this too!

I'm old school. I still use pen & paper. I price compare on shop and put totals on paper so I can stay on track.

Wunderlist can be used across multiple devices and for multiple lists and you can set recurring timers like for cleaning lists. Works with Alexa too

@roos780 I can’t log into Wunderlist anymore

I do grocery pickup with Walmart app and just add as i run out of things. I plan my meals and add a note in my phone with day of week and recipe and where I got the recipe (Pinterest etc). and then add items for each recipe as I menu plan.

I use listonics. You can add people to it so that if you family is home and sees you are out of something they can just add it to the list
by (780 points)
And it keeps a running list of what you bought so if you want you can just re add it to the list next time

I use my Alexa to keep track of things I run out of, then before I go to the grocery I enter my entire list on the grocery stores app as if I was going to order pick up. (usually Walmart or Kroger) Then in the store I just look at my shopping cart in the app. This also ensures I don’t go over budget since the app has the total price of my cart. Hope that makes sense lol

@mvd94507 do u enter the list from Alexa to the walmart all by hand? Or is there an easier way to transfer
by (910 points)
I just enter it all by hand, but it only takes a couple of minutes! There may be an easier way to do it, but I’ve never really looked into it

I use AnyList because it syncs with my Echo Dot. So we just tell Alexa to add to the grocery list and it pops up on my phone. I also love that I can have her add to my Costco list or my Trader Joe’s list if I’m going there (usually for specific items) instead of the grocery store.

It's awesome, but I still need a grocery app to enter things throughout the week wherever I am. I use both!
by (2.2k points)
@mapes you can add things to your cart without checking out.

AnyList. It costs around $12/yr I think but allows you to digitally save all of your recipes to add ingredients quickly to your shopping list, and can be shared across devices. Also has meal planning.
