Embarrassing question.  So let’s say my paycheck has been garnished for the last 2 months paying back a credit card I had years ago that I completely forgot about.Embarrassing question. So let’s say my paycheck has been garnished for the last 2 months paying back a credit card I had years ago that I completely forgot about. My last payment to them comes out Friday thank god! With my check being garnished I have had just enough to cover my regular monthly bills and have fallen 2 month behind on my mortgage payment. Are there services that anyone knows of that can help you get caught back up on your mortgage payments? Falling behind feels like falling in a black hole I will never get out of!

Call your mortgage company let them know what going on ASAP. My mom got sick and until I could break my lease and move with her to help her she called the mortgage company and they just added it on to the end of the loan . So instead of 15 years left it was 15 year and 3 months left

@hampton9 seriously?! That would be great if they help like that. I will call them today! I did call in December and talk to them and the guy just said pay when you can and use your taxes to get caught up. I don’t get much back on taxes so I don’t know how that would work but okay. Thank you!

Call them, they may move the payments to the end of the loan if you had good payment history before hand.

Call your mortgage company. This has happened to me and when I called the mortgage company and told them what happened, I was able to make payments plus my regular mortgage payment and I finally got caught up. It varies from company to company

If the tell you the same thing ask for a supervisor. That seems like a real a$$hole comment!
