I’m sure I’m not the only one with money anxiety. I just worry about running out of money, although that’s never happened to me or during childhood. That being said this is my situation. I have only one debt, a credit card with 1800 on it. I also have 4k sitting in my checking, having 3k in it waives all fees, and over 2k in my ef/savings. I’m to get over 2k back in taxes, plus I have money tied up right now in a trip to France and Europe in May that we don’t know if it will happen yet. I’m from Ontario and currently on a fixed income of $1411 a month. I’m currently at my parents because I’ve been in the hospital off and on for the majority of the last 2 years. I’m moving out May 1st and have already paid the first months rent of $650, so this is a big part of my money. I’m nervous to put a lot of money towards my debt because money could be tight in the future. Paying it off will only save me $125 a month. So it will take quite a while to build back up. What would you do? I’m leaning towards putting $650 or so towards it from my refund and then continuing with what I’ve been doing, paying at least twice the minimum each month.
I’m sure I’m not the only one with money anxiety.
