Question

Does anyone have any experience with the app Credit Karma? Currently I use Transunion to track my credit but it's a pay service and credit Karma seems like it does the same thing for free?

I like it. It is usually within 3 points of my FICO score.

@ken939 you are an anomaly then! Most CK scores are highly inaccurate

I use it to help keep keep track but it is not a true FICO credit score

I have used it for years. It's between 30-100 points lower for most people, but it has an accurate reporting of my debts and accounts, which helped me get on track.

Credit karma is not accurate for a score but great at tracking debts, inquiries, etc. basically use it as an alert system.

Do you thinks its a good alert system for identity/credit theft? Transunion alerts me when my credit is checked or a new account is made

Credit Karma is usually 30-50 lower than my actual score. I don't really care about my score, but I watch it to track my accounts.

I feel like our scores show higher on credit karma than they truly are. But we like using it to track our debts

Mines currently 40 points lower and doesn’t track debt very well. It says everything is on time but I have 0 card debt and my car is paid off and both still show balances.
