Anyone know how big the difference in credit scores. I have Credit Karma and it shows I have a 662 but I’m trying to get qualified and the lender came back saying my score is under 570?

Sounds just like what happened with me. My husbands credit was high enough so only his name is on the home loan while I’m only on the deed

@vernal I’m just glad they included all income from our bank account so my pay was technically included as well so it wasn’t the end of the world.

It can be off 50-100 points in either direction.

Maybe your FICO score? That’s updated quarterly.

Mine is basically the same (I check it through my Credit Union) because of some medical bills that went to collection.

Credit Karma can be way off a lot of times! It really is just a guesstimate.

Credit Karma is a Vantage score, the bank runs a Fico score. Check your Fico with one of the 3 bureaus or ask the lender for your report so you can see what is on it.

Credit Karma is usually low, altho mine is dead on lately. It might depend on what you’re looking at versus the lender

Experian is always either accurate or close to accurate. I have the app.

That sounds about right. I tried to purchase my car lease and when they ran my credit, it was about 100 points lower than what credit Karma said it was

Mine has always been pretty much the same. Credit Karma says 754 and we just applied for a mortgage and the lender said ours is over 740 (I didn't ask for the exact number)

There are a lot of different scores. Credit Karma uses a Vantage score from two of the three credit reporting agencies. There are several different FICO scores, too, and lenders will use different scores for different things. Different scores are used to get mortgages or car loans or credit cards. MyFico. com has a ton of information.

My credit score on credit karma said it was 720 and it was really 670. Didn’t get approved to refinance my loans.

There are multiple types of FICO scoring models, as well. You have a number credit card companies use, then there’s one for car dealerships and even a different one mortgage lenders use. Here’s my Experian numbers. And these will be different from TransUnion and Eqifax, as well.
