Are you finding that you want to hold onto any extra money that you don't spend as a "just in case". We have extra money left in this paycheck but want to hold it for food. I could pay credit cards but what if I want a rare to us take out meal or something special at the grocery store. Husband still works full time as an essential employee so we haven't lost income. Is it just me?

Idk about others but I set a plan to pay off my debt and then have just saved all my cash tucked aside elsewhere to decide what to do later so it is kind of my treat fund to figure out later. At some point I might put it to debt or a sinking fund but if I ever have decided to do something random I have that to fall back on also

I’m holding on to all extras UNTIL I reach my payoffs . Or when I’m able to go back to my regular day job. Which ever comes 1st !

Definitely a good idea.

Save as much as you can. Even some essential workers in health care are taking pay cuts because hospitals are losing money.

I’ve been doing this and if I end up not spending it by the end of the pay period putting it towards debt or something else!
