This is my favorite group! I get so much help from you all haha. I didn't grow up with anyone teaching me this financial stuff. Kinda learned some of it on my own and from a couple people. But still lots to learn. Okay let's talk Credit Cards. I'm 27 about to be 28 and I've never had one. My credit score is okay (high 600s). The only thing I have is a car loan. OK. So I have a high expense I need to pay for that I don't have the money for. I work from home and my computer is no longer working properly. But need a new computer that meets certain requirements. So it'll likely be a high expense after doing some research. Plus I want a quality computer. This is something that can't wait but need to purchase now within the next week or 2 meanwhile I borrow someone else's. Also, borrowing money from people isn't in option for me, unfortunately. I've been looking to get a credit card for a while regardless but have no idea where to start. I know I want one with added perks but confused about which ones are good to have. If I get one, how do they decide how much they give you? How soon do the payments start? Are there any that you don't have to pay immediately? Do they determine the payment amount and is it like a car loan where you choose how many months you want to pay it off for? Eeek, that was so many questions.

I needed a toaster oven recently becaue my stove died. I bought one from QVC with my debit card. 6 payments from my checking account. No interest and no fees. No cc needed. They have computers.

Consumer credit cards are not paid back with fixed payments like car loans.

Hi! If you want a credit card, get a secured card. Also, always pay full on the due date, and just purchase like $5 after so that will show up on your statement & it'll record to your credit score. Please dont spend over 30% of your limit.
