Question

I need to purchase airfare for two to Honolulu, HI from Medford, OR for an August trip. Mine will be reimbursed by my union but not my husbands. Never been before. How do I know when to pull the trigger in cheap airfare? How far in advance? Recommendations on sites?

My daughter goes to College in Hawaii when she flys it is to and from Honolulu. When I buy her flights I usually split them up. One month I buy the the flying to colorado flight the next month the back to Hawaii. I usually use Priceline, sometimes the flights are cheaper a few mos before when they need to fill the flights but sometimes they are not. You can use the hopper app it tracks airfare and notifies you when it’s the best time to buy. Enjoy, your time in Hawaii it’s magical!

I always use google flights and track flights there

I've always heard that around 3pm on a Tuesday, 6 weeks before your flight is the best time to buy. I don't know why though.
