Looking at a Suburban vs a Yukon XL. Buying used but not abused, 12k max. Need something that can tow a horse trailer and also fit 4 adults, 1 10 year old and 2 dogs for trips. Which of these 2 SUCs do you recommend?

They're basically the same thing. Yukons are typically more luxurious.

There the same thing Yukon will probably have more upgraded features but it will up the price. You can probably get a better condition suburban for the price of the Yukon

Basically they are the same vehicle & as others said, the Yukon is a higher priced vehicle. So you might actually get more for your money in a suburban. But see what you find available - neither would be a bad choice just based on make & model.

Do they both have the same tow rating for the trailer you are wanting to pull weight wise? I’ve seen more folks pulling small 2 horse trailers with more Yukon’s the Suburbans. But that’s just around where I live. .

I drive a suburban LTZ which is top of the line, and love it. It is right at what a Yukon Denali or a Cadillac Escalade is. The body looks are a little different than one another. The other stuff is tit for tat. It just depends on what package you choose on either one.

To add, there are basic packages, middle and high end packages.
