So I’m 28 but already have A LOT of gray hair. Like almost all my new hair growth is gray. I’m waiting to start the process of going lighter to blend it all but in the meantime I need to hide them without spending a bunch of money! My hair right now is dark brown/black. anyone try dark dry shampoo to hide the gray? Or if anyone knows any tricks to hold me over I’d appreciate it! I’m not ready to go gray so that’s not an option. Thanks ❤️

Ugh yes! The struggle is real! The L’Oréal spray is great and sometimes you can find it at the dollar store! If you do buy it up!

I need to color my hair badly. I bought a spray on color to get me to my appt.

I get it. I got my first gray hair at 13, and colored my hair from mid-20's to about 48. I have hard-to-cover grays that would literally show through a coloring after only 3 days. I made the decision to stop because it just wasn't worth the money. I get more compliments on my natural color with my grays than I ever did on my colored hair. But at 28, I was still coloring. I hope you get ideas for some more affordable options from our TBM family here. Best wishes!

I use overtone. The purple for dark brown. It’s a color conditioner you use everyday. I love it. $47 sure beats the $300 I was paying at the salon.

I started getting gray hair early as well (thanks mom. lol). I’ve tried several things & these are my favorite. All are quick & work well.

@erethism, are they shampoos or something you spray or apply?

I have been using Henna for about 10 years now. I like it because is natural, does not damage the hair, you still keep your real hair color and you get the add in highlights. I have mid longhair and half bag last me 2 months.

I wouldn't hide them. They are "life lights" there are many people who have passed on that never had the chance to see theirs come in. I know you're young, but grey hair is a trend - I'm even seeing people dye theirs to have it!

I color my own hair. I use the wella color from Sally’s. I just switched yesterday from colorcharm to colortango which seems to deposit more color. I make a solution with 20vol developer and paint it on my roots and once I’m done w the roots, I make a solution w 10vol developer and paint it on the rest of my hair. By then I just give it a few min extra to process and then rinse it out.

@avocation609 this is what I do also! So cheap, easy & looks great! I just use my color with 20vol all over tho

@compilation21 I have old highlights (bleach from mid shaft down) that I’m afraid to put 20vol all over.
