Question

I finally paid off my laptop and Home Depot.  Now, do I completely close these accounts or should I let them sit? Or do small purchases once and a while?

That's up to you. I'm keeping mine open to make purchases online when I need to. I'm a little paranoid that my account might get hacked, even though my bank account is secured I'm afraid it will take to long to get my $ back.

@besnard I call every month, once I had a Ballance although the card had been paid off, I was able to talk to someone right away and correct it.

Closing will drop your score bc your amount of available credit decreases.

Do not close. The ratio of total available credit to credit used will help you!
