I do all that and i have to have a towel under mine as i get s small pool of water on the floor

@chaulmoogra I’m not sure why you get a pool on the floor, that’s worrying! I don’t get any water under mine. I remove the bit that collects the water and empty it, I take the filter out, clean thoroughly and leave to dry before using again. The only time I get water is when I drop the collector bit carrying it from the dryer to the sink

Say whattt. I got mine in December and have been cleaning the lint filter and emptying the water thing but didn't know what this thing was. Should read the manual really ‍♀️

@trapani3836 brilliant advice. I’ve had mine a couple of years and didn’t even know about this other filter. Just cleaned it and the sh1t that came out was unreal. Thanks so much

Two filters. Lint catcher and then the big one. I clean mine every two weeks. The crap that comes out is unreal. It’s usually at the bottom, the big one. Pull out, rinse with water, leave to dry and then you can use again xx

Mine also smells like this too and is fairly new !

@lannylanolin6265 it can be new or old, the filter requires cleaning (I’ve posted which one above) I had mine a week from brand new before it started smelling. I did so much washing and drying, the lint builds up in there too. I now clean once every two weeks. Including the drum and the actual lint bit

I’ve cleaned my filters and it’s not worked since

@cephalo60012 make sure the clips are fully connected, as one of them if not clicked in fully, will not let the dryer work. Xxx

Sometimes tumbling for too long can produce a smell on some fabrics.

Could just be smell from the heating element where it's new. Mine had a funny smell for the first 6 months but it's fine now.
