Hi!  I just got back from a bike ride.Hi! I just got back from a bike ride. LOTS of garbage. Oye! Where does one purchase a picker from? Would Target sell them? Also, remember when I said when this is all over, we should have a get together, supporting a local business and get to meet each other? Fibs and Tap House got back to me. Tap House also had the very nice idea of picking a local charity and a percentage of sales would go to them. How freaking lovely of an idea! I was thinking, what if we did a monthly get together. Do something nice for the community (trash pick up, food pantry help, spend time with seniors, etc) and then get together for drinks, food, and giggles afterwards? This whole thing has me thinking. I'm trying to put more good into the world. Obviously this wouldn't start until we get the, "ALL Clear" signal. What do you say? Even if you rather do every 2 weeks. I'm up for whatever.

Even if we opened upbthe project we do, for our kids to come with if they'd like. Preferably the drinking/giggling part, no kids, significant others. Unless you want to deal with, "Mom! Mommmmm! MOMMY! ". I vote for mom's night out for part 2.

I got my pickers at Costco two years ago. Maybe 3. It’s comes in a set of two and this is the season they’re there. I’ve seen them each year so far so I’m assuming they’re there again. But you can always call them it was 2 for $10.

Also, I always do a trash walk but right now since this all started I’ve stopped because I’m nervous to bring anything inside the home or around. If that makes sense. And my kids are with me. But the trash is so damn bad!

I can understand that. Going to start bringing a bag with me on my dog walks. It was really really really bad by the forest preserves.

@jawbreaker31 it’s so sad. Even my neighborhood is horrible. We don’t have sidewalks so most people are throwing it out their window. I’ve been flicked off a couple times yelling at people when they drive by. Lol I hate them.

Exactly! I haven't picked up shit. I'm scared to touch anything.

I have a cheap little plastic one for getting things out from behind my washer/dryer when they fall. Pretty sure it came from Dollar tree

We got our pickers at that freight place in Arlington Heights. We use them when we go the forest preserves to "clean the Earth".
