We just moved to Des Plaines and there are two dead trees on our property. Do we need a permit to remove these? Also would love recommendations on services. Thank you all!

Download the des plaines app. there's an option on there for tree removal or trimming. i got a same day response when i had inquired about my tree. search for "DP 311" on your app store.

Welcome to DP, Billy! You do not need a permit to remove a tree that is on private property.

If its on the city's side-they will remove for you too! Of its on your side you can have it removed with no permits.
