Hello, Since january, I am running a very small online shop with custom painted t-shirts. I have around 20 models and until now I've barely sold something. What kind of ads and what combinations should I create to get in front of possible customers? Thank you.

What kind of ads is your competition running?

From what I can see on my fb: 1. carousel with > 5 images with shop now button 2. messenger ads Is the the answer you were looking for?

@principate80 if those style ads have been running for awhile then that's probably a good starting point to model.

Apparel is a huge competitive market. You’re going to have to find a way to add creativity to your marketing that completely stands out from millions of other clothing lines. Have you ever tried sending your clothes to big influencers? Have you tried video marketing?

Quick question. Do you know what the average e-commerce store conversion rate is? By conversion I mean sales. Also, can you tell me how many visitors you’ve had to your site, per month, since launching?

1800 and 1500 store sessions (jan-feb)

@principate80 So by those numbers you should have had somewhere around 20 sales in Jan and 15 in Feb. Are they adding to cart? If they aren't diving in to your website, you have an audience mismatch, IMO. You can send traffic, but if the traffic is bad they won't convert. Your store should convert around 1-2% of traffic.

@principate80 Nice! Are you running an abandoned cart email campaign? Are you retargeting via Facebook ads?

If you are trying to sell them on Romanian market just forget about it:) You need to pay around 50 ron per sale or more.

Thank you for the advice, but giving up is not an option right now.

@principate80 I’ve been there, done that. lost 200k on fashion in the same market.

What would be your recommendation: go internationally?

@principate80 I'd stop now if I were in your shoes. I was ambitious and lost a lot, I've learned my lesson.

@moule I am planning to stop if by the end of june (when the summer starts) I don’t get a steady traffic, sales and I don’t rank for specific keywords.

@principate80 Good luck! remember this conversation in June!

Be very creative with your models and ads. I know people doing this locally with POD successfully so there are solutions.

I think there was a study where someone said dynamic ads worked best?

@warren4881 where?

@moule It’s somewhere in this group.
The Facebook Ads Group is where you can always find questions, answers, advice, reviews & recommendations from other community members about running Facebook and Instagram advertising and marketing campaigns.
