Targeting dads.  I have a product that is just for dad's.Targeting dads. I have a product that is just for dad's. It's a project to help dads manage the balance of work life and also to get to grips with being a dad in the first place When I did a very early trial of ads for this the ad got knocked back as I can't target 'dads'. I can't recall the exact reasoning but it was along those lines Any ideas how to navigate this or has anyone seen similar?

Target males who also own minivans. I’ve never met a man without kids that owned a minivan.  after you get a couple 100 conversions go more broad and let the pixel do the work.

Target parents , exclude Woman , don't use in the copy direct info that you know they are dads

@rhynchocephalian so it's purely a copy issue? Difficult one I guess t call out a target market without calling out the target market!

@candie well that's the art of copywriting. For example: when fb banned the "Tag your friend" in ads . think how you can say the same without breaking the rules. f. e. : "who would this be interested in this"

@rhynchocephalian oh yea for sure. No talking down the power of copywriting at all it's a great skill

Sounds purely copy. You can't call out individual attributes "are you a dad? " Instead "New dad's in today's world etc" The targeting is fine. I've used it quite a bit. New parents, male etc

FB and their analytical approach ‍♀️. You need to play headgames w them too. I love “Makes who owns a mini van “. Very clever.

Start by asking a question that a Dad experiencing the problem your product solves. So something like, "Overwhelmed with pressures and demands of work and raising a child by yourself? Finding it hard for you to find the balance between providing a great quality of life for your family AND being a great father? I get it. i was once there myself. " then in your targeting, target men only, 35 and older, business men, small business owners, anybody in the restaurant industry, construction, maybe police, etc. high stress jobs but are historically linked to single parent hood

You may have targeted the male audience of some insurance company page focused on kids packages if these are available in that specific country.
