Hi all, has anyone done something really creative in their garden for the kids? We have a really big garden and it's a blank canvas at the moment so looking for some unusual ideas to keep the kids happy over summer.

Drain pipes and make a "Telytubby" style den. good storage for their toys too and no loss of space as u have the deckchairs ontop. kids would LOVE it (no need to theme it but the idea is there). once kids leave. …. u still have storage. if kids misbehave. u have somewhere to send them ROFL (sorry couldn't help that 1)

(also if still a blank canvas. when doing other ares say like a pond. the soil that your removing has a place rather than the expence of removal altogether)

That's awesome! do you have a problem with cats and the sandpit?

Thank you and no as I cover it with tarpaulin when it's not being used

We bought a little playhouse, put extra planks on it to make a sandpit underneath and and mud kitchen on the side.

I'm going to paint it this year and pop some more interesting things on the fence like big flowers, water pourer, musical stuff. Just to brighten it up a bit really

@autopsy we got the main little playhouse from TP toys, it was a groupon deal. We bought the little mud kitchen for about £40 . And I think the planks cost maybe 10 or 15 from a local builders merchant. We lined the sandpit with a weed proof membrane and use an old piece of tarp to cover it when not in use.

Not the best pic but it’s a huge play frame . It has little den under plus climbing wall , rope climb , large slide and more recently we have added two swings .

Mocktail bar - cheap plastic jugs, food colouring few spoons to mix with and clear plastic cups - all kids I’ve had playing with this have loved it

I cant claim to have made anything amazing, but when we moved in there was a tiny shed - I took my big shed with me from my last house, so now my son has a “den” where he keeps all his garden toys and I have a nice grown up shed. also planning to clear the area next to it which is behind the big bush in the left, so he has his own secret garden.

Not the video, just a screen shot. We built a ramp in the garden last year for me and the kids to play on. Looks a little sad now in this weather but looking forward to the summer to finish the rest of the garden.
