So we have taken the broken trampoline down and created a lil space for our lil fella. Just not sure what to put on the floor ? Bark is a no go as we had that further down the garden and the lovely cats next door used it as a loo . Any ideas please ?

I just got rid of mine. and I just left the gravel that I put there x
by (1.6k points)
@fahy268 you have to be careful on type of gravel. Cats don't like sharp bigger gravel. Google which is best x

@iata278 Before we did our garden like this, we used Pemba Garden carpet from Grass247. co. uk and that lasted really well and would easily sit nicely on your area! So I'd be inclined to take a look at that too!

@crassus91739 Williams ok hun, will have a look. Got the hubby at home for another 3 weeks so he has no excuse
by (460 points)
@iata278 Haha yes have fun! It will look fab with what ever you choose! Enjoy making him work  My husband only did our garden a couple of weeks ago! x
by (400 points)
@crassus91739 Williams thank you, I've got most of the garden done whilst he has been at home. 3 more weeks and all the jobs I've asked him to do should be done x
by (240 points)
@crassus91739 Williams did you lay the carpet straight onto concrete? We have a patio area that I want to make safer for the kids and the carpet is much cheaper than fake grass.
by (320 points)
@crassus91739 Williams where did you get the chippings from? How much did it cost? X

We used rubber clippings from a company called play bark. I really recommend. It doesn't hurt if my little one falls over either.

Cats poop in rubber chippings also unfortunately. We were recommended them. It did nothing to stop them at all.

Cats will poop on anything if they are inclined. Mine poos in the middle of my lawn  even though we have flower beds, bark and I have a cat house for her with a litter box in to try and stop her going on the lawn but she doesn’t care. I’m just glad it’s in my garden and not a neighbours!
by (950 points)
@defamatory they're so arrogant haha
by (560 points)
@cotquean they are. They really do not care  only thing that makes it not so bad is we have a puppy as well and her poop is so much worse to pick up that a cat.

I've got The same problem with the pea gravel in my garden. Id opt for rubber matts
by (400 points)
It's a toss up between mats or grass
by (660 points)
@iata278 I'm sure what ever you go for in the end will look great. The only thing that puts me off fake grass /astro turf etc is that I've heard people say it can be a pain to clean especially if an animal decides to do it's buissness on it. I'd imagine the rubber tiles being easier to clean  x
by (400 points)
@cowboy45243 Reynolds yes that's what I worry about. I will just have to get some good cleaner in that doesnt hurt the animals. And thank you xx
