Any ideas for improving privacy above my back fence? Would prefer to do it with planting rather than fixing anything to top of the fence panels. I would ideally plant another tree but space is pretty tight.

Google pleached trees, you'd keep your space lower down more or less and get the privacy quickly.

I’d go bamboo. Either in the ground or in planters.

Bamboo is REALLY invasive - it will creep into neighbours gardens & is a beast to get rid of. Always keep in pots

my son has a nightmare with bamboo growing in his garden from under next doors fence. Very invasive, don't do it! Will ruin your own garde too.

I'm wary of bamboo because of all the horror stories you hear. If it's in a pot is it impossible for it to spread?
