Question

I have a small acer tree, bought last year. Kept in the shade and doesn’t receive any sun but it has no leaves growing on it. Does it need some sun?

Where mine is has sun in the morning until around 12, then its in the shade. I found it survived better there than in full sun as the leaves kept scorching and dying off so i moved it to where it is now and its thrived there. I dont over water either.
