Hello!  I need some help and advice on my Acer tree.Hello! I need some help and advice on my Acer tree. We had to move it to make room for a patio but it seems to have not taken very well & the next day the leaves were all curled and drooped   does anyone know what I can do to save it and make it perky again?

Acers don't like to be exposed to the elements either. I'd perhaps take it up and place it in a corner. Best of luck

Feed it as well as water it it may recover acers like ericcaceuos soil do if you've transplanted it into normal peat etc it won't survive

Ahh thanks so much for all your comments, it’s really helpful! I’m going to look in to ordering some feed and some of the soil it likes. Really hope it recovers, I’d be so sad to lose it!

@synoptic ah I see what it looks like but this tree is just after the patio so there’s no stones or anything around it x

It's because you've moved it, it's got stressed and can't take in enough water so give it a bucket of water every day all through to late autumn and then it should be OK

Any concrete by the roots? Could be the lime leaching into the soil. That and a bit of shock from being moved
