Rare you'll get any that stay red all year, most shed in autumn like any other.

shedding is fine, should have been more specific, i mean leaf colour being red/purple rather than at times green. Have seen lovely coloured ones online then you look on a diff site and theyre green too. Ive got one that is bright colour then green, so id like a 2nd one just the nice colour if makes sense

lol I get get your drift now. we have 6 all in pots, a couple aren't red and one is nearly black but our reds have different leaf patterns. one is a blood good but not sure of the names of the others.

that looks just what im after. I saw one online that looked like that but then a local garden centre showed me one (for delivery) with same name and it was green turning red. Beni maiko it was. Google looks just like yours, but theirs was clearly green!

some are green with new foliage but turn red later towards autumn.

The first pic this tree was a bit later budding as the other 2 or 3 had already shot new foliage.

yes took them as I first replied. its killing us not being able to walk a garden centre but places like Dobies and J Parker's are taking orders and delivering. maybe they will have what you're after.

My husband has been to pick up some shrubs that were being given away locally, he basically just pulled them out of the ground rather than digging them out as he had no tools with him, are they likely to survive?
