Has anyone painted grey over green and it stays grey rather than blue? Recently moved into our forever home and I want to change the green fences and shed to grey. Done a 1st coat yesterday and the grey looks more blue. Not sure if it’s because it was green underneath it’s not giving a true colour to the grey or just as the door is still blue (to be changed also). Thanks
Has anyone painted grey over green and it stays grey rather than blue?

Sounds silly - take your photo and cover the door with your finger - then what colour do you see (it's like the optical illusion posts you see about different coloured tablets on light and dark backgrounds, but it's the same colour tablet)?

@interpellation3334 does look less blue, what do you think? X

I think it looks light grey, when you take the rest of the blue items out of the frame

@interpellation3334 great, thank you. I’ve had to have a smaller garden for a bigger house and my old garden was so lovely, I can’t wait to get out there and try and love this garden as much as I did my last  Just want it to be perfect x

I'd love to paint our fences but we are renting, so I think a good clean and refresh will have to do.

Can’t see the grey or blue paint

@bohun4886 the grey is on the shed, back of the photo.

I know, you can’t really see it unfortunately. Maybe pressure washer or black ? Can be annoying when a colour doesn’t take x

Maybe do fence black instead or do another coat of grey.
