A fair few jealous cunts on this post! Sounds like they are jealous because there house is no bigger than your garage
by (1.2k points)
@delldella81 I know. I have taken to planting and dealt with around the house just wanted ideas on how and what to add to the garage ‍♀️ If I was showing off I certainly would have waited until we saved enough money to do something with the drive and wasn’t multicoloured with donor brick just so it’s usable the now.
by (1.1k points)
@oskar just ignore them your clearer better off than them! Unless its recycled or made of pallets some people on this page wont be happy
by (1.6k points)
Definitely envious but not jealous. Enjoy

Ooo that’s a nice big space. You can get planters that have trellis attached for a bit of height. I wouldn’t want to fasten anything to the garage itself it looks so perfect lol I have some solar lights attached with gutter hooks to the front of my house which look pretty in the evening.

Worst “look at how big my garage is” post ever
by (2.1k points)
@quinque Summers I was thinking exactly the same thing, she made sure she got the hot tub in there too!
by (1.2k points)
I’m female I don’t have any cares for the size of a garage. If anything it caused arguments at the amount of garden he was taking away from the kids but jealousy noted
by (1k points)
Well, i think it's beautiful! What about a climber either side or in the middle? X
by (770 points)
@oskar hey I'm female and I would love a garage like that  also means when he's working on the cars he can be inside it out of my way my garage doesn't actually fit my car hahahah
by (540 points)
Why are people so jealous?!? It's a genuine ask, it does look bare and boring and there's been some good advice so far.
by (1.9k points)
@oskar so many jealous folk around just ignore them honey . I think it's nice that you're replying to some people x just leave it, it looks lovely xxx
by (780 points)
@oskar well said
by (1.1k points)
@quinque Summers your a bit of a dick aren't you.
by (2.1k points)
Not sure anyone was jealous just an observation. Options for the garage is either hanging baskets, trellis with climbers or a combination of both. I'm sure if we have offended anyone it wasnt meant, just an observation, one that more than one person clearly has. Nice garage by the way.

The brown doors and fascia etc are not helping, some form of natural cladding might help to soften things, maybe even set at angle, even chevron style.

Grow up lads. It's just a garage. not a particularly pretty one. Give it 6 months and they will be full of bicycles, and unwanted household junk like everyone else's. You can get long bags that you can fill with plants that would pretty much cover the walls.

Some people are bloody bitter. How sad you feel the need to pick on people who have more money than you. Or seem to. She didn't ask about your thoughts on her finances! I think lots of topiary would be lovely. Some vines for the fence maybe too? X
by (780 points)
@interbreed209 yeah Alot of people on here are of the opinion if it isn't made from pallets they stole from the local industrial estate it Dosnt count as a budget build.
by (1.2k points)
@interbreed209 they can say what they want I’m not ‘loaded’ far from it. My partner had his own garage while working as a full time HGV mechanic. I worked as a welder for the last 12 years but then had children. He sold his garage with a cash buyer, I sold property I was renting out and took my redundancy money. Now I’m a part time FM management and he still does his full time job. We have put everything into this house which was completely run down when we bought it and had sat empty for a year with no interest it was that outdated x

Nice garage In the process of going a large one myself. A few old dealer / motor related signs will have it looking quality. Also 3 large pots with small busy trees would break up the colour's too

Maybe grow a climber up the wall - a lovely wisteria or clematis would give colour, texture and smell amazing when you get out the car
+61 votes
by (1.6k points)
I’d go for a couple of topiary trees and maybe a climber trained above the garage doorways. Failing that you could always train a climber to climb up the sides and middle of the doors then let it just cover the whole front of the building.

What about a living wall? I’ve seen set up kits for it but I bet you could do it with pots on racks. They look great, I’ve seen them done with succulents too. Or a meadow flower roof they seem popular
